The Poas and the Barva volcanoes can be seen from a distance in the city, and you must visit the top of Monte de la Cruz to see the spectacular view of the city surrounded by the coffee plantations. As a colonial city, many of the buildings will take you back to the Spanish period, and you’ll enjoy exploring the Parque Central, the Museo de Cultura Popular, and the Café Britt Farm.
